The fastest way to confirm whether a firm is actually regulated, and for what. Also carries public warnings and enforcement notices.
Check the permission the firm holds. A name on the register is not the answer on its own: a firm may hold a licence for one class of business and be trading well outside it, and the register is what shows the difference.
